Shipping Policy – Silken Ember

At Silken Ember, we aim to give you a seamless experience from checkout to delivery of your lingerie. Below are our shipping options and terms.

1. Delivery times

*International times may vary due to local customs procedures.

2. Customs duties and taxes

  • Customs duties, import taxes and any additional charges are the buyer’s responsibility.
  • These fees are set and collected by the customs authority in the destination country.
  • They may be applied at random; some parcels arrive without extra fees, others may incur them.

3. Free shipping – Europe Zone

  • Free shipping on orders over $70 to USA/CA (excluding overseas territories).

4. Important information

  • Delivery times start from dispatch (confirmation e-mail), not order date.
  • Business days exclude weekends and public holidays.
  • If delivery is refused, the parcel is returned; the order is refunded minus $8.90 handling fee.

4.1 Responsibility for delays

BelleLigne entrusts parcels to reliable carriers but is not liable for delays caused by:

  • carrier issues;
  • strikes or postal disruptions;
  • extreme weather conditions;
  • buyer error (incorrect address, absence at delivery);
  • international customs procedures.

5. Incorrect address or returned parcel

If the address provided is incorrect:

  1. Reshipment to the correct address: reshipping costs at your expense (same as original shipping rate).
  2. Partial refund: order amount minus original shipping fees and a $8.90 service fee.

Under Article L221-15 of the French Consumer Code, the seller is not responsible for errors attributable to the consumer.

6. Claims – Non-receipt

  • Any claim must be made within 60 days of shipment.
  • After that, no refund will be issued. A new shipment may be arranged once a sworn statement of non-receipt is signed.
